40th Birthday Hoe Down Party at Lach Dennis Village Hall September 2013

Here is feedback from the birthday girls on last saturday's gig. We had a great time too:

Just wanted to let you know we had a brilliant party on Saturday.  We
thought the band were great and they made sure everyone had a good time.  We
loved the dancing, it was so much fun and catered for the young children and
the mature party goers (our parents!). Would you please pass our thanks to

Barn Dance in aid of Riding for the Disabled - Broadbottom, Stockport

Devil's Fire are back at The Etherow Centre in Broadbottom near Stockport for another barn dance in aid of Riding for the Disabled Association. We had a great time last year and everyone enjoyed it.

21st Birthday Barn Dance near Hale, Cheshire

We had a great evening thank you and the band were great. The whole evening worked out perfectly and the barn dancing was a big hit with everyone. I think I saw almost everyone up dancing at some point which says it all. The "youngsters" most of whom had never been to a barn dance loved it and the whole party was a big hit. Kirsten had a ball and was delighted that her 21st was an occasion everyone will be talking about for a long time. Please thank all the band for me. They were so flexible on the night and happy to meet all our requests. Thanks again for all your help and making it all so easy.

July Barn Dances - the story so far

It's been an interesting month for Devil's Fire. We have played in a barn in Glossop, a garden party in Leeds, an RAF base in Yorkshire in the officers mess, and last night we played at Buile Hill School.

The garden party in Leeds was a corporate event to celebrate the 4th of July. A barbecue, drinks a plenty and all outside in the lovely sunshine. The RAF base was RAF Leeming for their summer ball. We provided the barn dance bit. We were looked after like royalty and we had a great night. Buile Hill school was a warm evening, but all the doors were open and a cool breeze was blowing in. The dancers were brilliant and a delicious barbecue was provided.

We still have two birthday parties to play this month. One in Hale and the other in Liverpool.

A barn somewhere in Glossop - a barn dance story

Devil's Fire played in a barn in Glossop for a birthday party on saturday 29th June 2013. The band were undercover in the barn, but the dancers were half inside the barn and half outside. The weather was also decidedly "iffy" with intermittent drizzle. Did this dampen spirits? - you bet it didn't!!

Here's what our host said about the evening:

" Just like to say the band was excellent and everyone really enjoyed it, the weather never dampened anyones spirits. I would definitely recommend the band to anyone else wanting a hoe down."

WILD WEST THEMED HOEDOWN - BURSCOUGH WHARF. FRIDAY, 17TH MAY 2013

Bales of hay a-plenty. BBQ. Mechanical Rodeo Bull. Mainly live music with a rockabilly flavour (plus other stuff besides) . 

Dare yourself to have a go at the hoe down dancing. It's not rocket science. It's just great fun.

And the Band's Caller will be there on the night, - advising and chatting everyone through the dances.

Dress code for the evening: Cowboy and cowgirl outfits (optional)
And for those arriving in dress code:- there are prizes for best dressed cowboy and cowgirl, - and attendee with the best 10-gallon hat !!
Cost of entry tickets:£2.50 per person (advance booking charge) & £5 on the door on the night (subject to availability of tickets).

Charity Fundraising Hoe Down in aid of Cystic Fibrosis

 

Devil's Fire Band will be out performing their lively, rocky hoe down music on SATURDAY, 27TH APRIL 2013

at the SILK LIFE CENTRE, George Street, MACCLESFIELD, SK11 6HS

Commence time:   8.30 p.m.   Hoe down finish time: around midnight.   Venue doors close at 1.00 a.m.

As most people have never been to a hoe down in their lives, - the band comes complete with Caller to chat

everyone through their right hand stars - and all the rest. A memorable night is guaranteed for all the right reasons.

COST OF TICKETS:  £15 each (includes hoe down band entertainment, hog roast supper and Bronco Bull).

You just need to bring along your own drinks - (and your good selves, of course) for a wonderful fun evening.
